This test kit is designed to analyze your urine for the remnants of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) chemical. The technology of the test is based on checking the properties of immunochemical reactions that take place between antibodies and antigens in human urine. The lowest concentration of THC in urine for the test to show the positive result is 50 nanograms/milliliter. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recommends the same cut-off level for this kind of test.
The test does not require any special skills to apply it and can be employed homely. The results are ready within the next three to five minutes.
Every strip is supplied in a separate sterile pouch.
The left section of the result window is assigned for the Control Band. When the test will start to progress, a colored line should appear in that section. Note that the color might be very faint, so it is better to analyze the test results under a bright illumination.
The right section of the result window is assigned for the Test Band. The colored line might appear there during the test.
If two colored lines appear in the both sections of the result window, it means that the result of the test is negative (no THC above the level of 50 ng/ml were revealed in your urine). If the Test Band is extremely faint, but visible for some minutes – that indicates that the density of THC in your urine is very close to the cut-off level. In that case, you should perform the test once again or use one of the more precise testing methods (mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, etc.).
If you can see only the Control Band and nothing is displayed in the right section of the result window – it indicates the positive result of the test. This means that the concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol in your urine is higher than the cut-off level.
If no Control Band is visible in the left section of the result window, it signalizes that something has gone wrong and the current test is invalid.
